Improvements to Development Dashboard completed
Upgraded tool now available on City website
MELISSA (August 3, 2021) Major improvements and upgrades to the Melissa Development Dashboard have been completed, making the online search tool an invaluable part of the City’s outreach to residential and commercial developers as well as residents seeking local information.
The dashboard, available on the home page of the City of Melissa web site (www.cityofmelissa.com) provides detailed information on the City’s growth and development, the status of residential and active commercial projects, demographic information, and a wide variety of highly useful information on Melissa’s development outlook.
Originally introduced in February of 2020, the earlier version of the dashboard offered fewer capabilities, and did not include the 3D views powered by GIS, or Geographic Information Systems, mapping software.
“The improved Melissa Development Dashboard is truly a must for anyone wishing to learn more about any and all aspects of growth and development in Melissa,” says Development Services Director Tyler Brewer. “Using the navigation tabs, real estate brokers, builders, developers, commercial real estate professionals, corporate relocation experts, and other interested parties can easily and quickly obtain critical information about Melissa.”

The Melissa Development Dashboard provides detailed views and trends in the Melissa community’s growth from both residential and commercial perspectives, providing corporate planners an essential planning and development tool that can guide decisions on corporate sites, community concentrations, and emerging residential growth.
“The latest iteration of the dashboard is a major improvement from the initial version, but we will nevertheless continue to add information and refine it,” said Brewer. “Our goal is two-fold. First, we want to assist corporate and residential developers make productive and profitable decisions. And, just as importantly, we want to provide our residents information on their community, how it is growing, changing and evolving.”
