Special Election for November to fill City Council Place 6

Council Member Anthony Figueroa  officially resigned from his place on the Melissa City Council at the July 31, 2018 City Council Meeting.  Mr. Figueroa has accepted the Superintendent position for Wolfe City ISD.  The City Council and staff extend their heartfelt thanks to Mr. Figueroa for his years of service to our community and wish all of our best to the Figueroa family in this next chapter of their lives.  Mayor Reed Greer presented Mr. Figueroa with a Texas State Flag that was flown in his honor over the Texas State Capital and special recognition from Representative Scott Stanford.

As such the Council has called a Special Election to be held on November 6, 2018 to fill the vacancy left by Mr. Figueroa for the remainder of the term for Place 6.  

Early Voting will be held at Melissa City Hall in the Courtroom and Collin County Elections Office from October 22 to November 2, 2018.
