Taking anything from a quick glance to a deep dive into a wide variety of City of Melissa facts, figures, maps and other important metrics is now as easy as opening the Melissa website and searching through the new Community Profile Dashboard.
The Dashboard, essentially an interactive, searchable database file containing a wealth of development information on the City of Melissa, is available on the home page of www.cityofmelissa.com under the link Melissa Community Profile on the left side navigation bar.
“The Dashboard is an invaluable tool for anyone wishing to learn more about virtually any aspect of growth and development in Melissa,” says City Manager Jason Little. “With a few clicks, real estate brokers, builders, developers, commercial real estate professionals, corporate relocation experts, and other interested parties can obtain critical information on available sites for construction and development as well as those commercial and residential developments that are already underway.”
The Community Profile Dashboard is an important planning and development tool from an economic and community development standpoint in that corporate planners can see and plot trends in the Melissa community’s growth from both residential and commercial perspectives.
Demographic information on Melissa residents in general and specific terms is also available on the Dashboard, providing a snapshot of the community’s makeup and character. Potential businesses can plan their entry into the Melissa market, or expansions of existing Melissa enterprises, based on residential patterns, zoning overlays, and complementary businesses activity.
“The Dashboard is a work in progress, and we’ll continue to work on it, update it, refine it, and make it more useful,” said Little. “While it has a generous amount of information, we’ll continue to populate it with different levels of data and documents that can help people make important decisions. We’re committed to continually evolving the instrument.”
Included in the Dashboard are videos of several planned or contemplated commercial developments within Melissa’s boundaries.
Use the of Community Profile is free and available to businesses, residents, and other interested parties by visiting the home page of www.cityofmelissa.com and clicking on the Melissa Community Profile link.
