Get Ready for Sparks and Spangles on June 28th

MELISSA, TX— This year marks our last chance to watch the fireworks from the comfort of home as they soar high into the sky. Next year, we plan on relocating the event to Melissa Lake Park with more festivities to accompany the fireworks show.

Not everyone has the perfect view, so head to any park in Melissa for the big show. It’s a night you won’t want to miss.

Tune in to 97.5 KLAKE starting at 6:00 PM for a special City of Melissa simulcast. Enjoy patriotic tunes, and special messages from Melissa's community leaders, all building up to the grand finale. At approximately 9:15 PM, when the sky is perfectly dark, prepare to be amazed as a magical fireworks display bursts 600 feet into the air.

Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets, and head to City Hall Plaza, Melissa Middle School, or Zadow Park for a prime view. Just remember: no alcohol or glass containers are allowed.

Let’s make this year’s Sparks and Spangles one to remember.  Please visit the city website at www.cityofmelissa.com.

City Manager Jason Little said, “Whether you enjoy the fireworks from the City Hall Plaza, Melissa Middle School, neighborhood parks, around City Hall, or in your own backyard, we hope you’ll enjoy the celebration.”
