MELISSA FIRE DEPARTMENT WORKS HOUSE FIRE CAUSED BY LIGHTNING
MELISSA, TX—On Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 7:18 am, the Melissa Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire on Morgan Ct. in Melissa. Firefighters arrived at the scene to find a house on fire resulting from a lightning strike.
The Melissa Fire Department swiftly mobilized to contain the fire and ensure the safety of residents. The fire is currently under control, and no injuries have been reported.
The McKinney, Princeton, and Anna Fire Departments responded to the scene to assist. Thanks to the swift actions taken by all involved, the house fire is currently under control, and everyone has made it out safely.
