Remembering Chad Taylor, Previous Council Member, Place 2

MELISSA, TX— We are deeply saddened to share the passing of former Council Member Chad Taylor, who proudly served the City of Melissa in Place Two from 2016 to 2023.

Chad was a retired Lieutenant who dedicated 26 years to law enforcement before hanging up his badge. That same commitment to service carried over into his role with the City. He continued serving in law enforcement while also serving on the Melissa City Council and later retired from the City of Farmers Branch in 2024.

Chad was never afraid to speak up. He believed in doing what was right, even when it wasn’t easy, and he always made sure his voice reflected the people he represented. He felt he was able to fully advocate, confidently and correctly, because of how much he loved Melissa.

We were lucky to have had him. Our community is stronger because of his time here. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.
