SH 121 Project Update: Planned Traffic Switch Road Closures
TxDOT has notified the City that it's contractor for the SH 121 Improvements Project, Lone Star Construction, will be conducting a traffic switch on Monday, October 9 at 9:00 a.m.  Milrany will be closed again for a few hours prior to the switch so that the contractor can remove the asphalt that is on the NB lanes (that traffic uses right now to get up to SH121). This switch will occur between  Whispering Pines (Trails of Melissa) and will run out to the end of the project, north of the Outer Loop. All traffic will be placed on the new concrete paving at that time and there will be turn lanes at all intersections and crossovers at the intersections to get traffic across SH 121.

SH 121_Melissa Road Access Closure_Oct 2017
FM 2933 will be closed on Tuesday, October 10 for approximately 1 week (depending on weather) while the contractor removes the existing intersection and lowers the grade so that traffic will be able to cross over from Milrany. This closure will be from FM 545 up to SH 121 and local traffic (any homes and/or business) will still be able to access this area. CR 1220 at SH 121 will be closed in this phase. Traffic can use CR 472 from FM 545 to access any areas that are affected by this closure.

Also  on Tuesday, October 10 at 9:00 a.m. Melissa Road at SH 121 will be CLOSED for approximately 4-5 weeks
while the contractor constructs the entire intersection at one time. Washington Ave and Miller Road will be opened up for traffic to use on SH 121.

All detour signs will be up for traffic to utilize and they will guide motorists on which way to go. Please slow down in the construction zones and be mindful of all signs and message boards that are posted. Thank you for your ongoing patience as this project enters the next phase.
