Outdoor Watering Restrictions Underway - Once Every Two Weeks
The City is currently under Stage 3 landscape watering with sprinklers or irrigation systems to once every two weeks through October 31, 2014.  Help the City of Melissa go "all in" to help prevent the need for Stage 4 by setting your irrigation system to manual during these restrictions.  For the full release on Stage 3 Water Restrictions and what you and your family can do to help conserve, visit the City of Melissa's Water Conservation webpage.

The following information has been compiled based on, among other things, the questions and comments expressed by the citizens of the City of Melissa (“City”) regarding the privately drived proposed local option election for the purposes of  authorizing off premise beer and wine sales on the properties who were not incorporated in to the City’s jurisdiction at the time of the last local option authorization in 2005 (“Referendum”). Various Street Repairs and Partial Closures this week (Weather Permitting)
Due to the rains the City's contractor WOPAC will be continuing street repairs on Central Street and Fannin Road through the first part of this week before starting the chip seal project which will begin on Wednesday (weather permitting).  Chipsealing will be on Santa Fe Street, Central Street, North Park and Harrison Street (by Barker House).
