The Melissa Police Department Announces Creation of a Telephone Tip Line
The Melissa Police Department tip line is now active and is for Melissa residents to use for non-emergency situations. The phone number is 972-838-2075 and callers are able to leave a message for the Police to follow up on their tip. Visit the Police Department's Webpage for more information.

Rain Water Harvesting & Rain Barrel Construction Seminar
Join the Melissa Public Library on Saturday, February 4th at the Melissa Fire Department, Training Room, 2nd Floor as we learn the basics of rain water harvesting from a Collin County Master Gardener, Sheri Twiggs. The seminar is free, but register so we have chairs! 12:00-2:00 p.m. Hands-on rain barrel construction, with materials provided for $47 per barrel; includes barrel and parts. You will assemble, predrilled. Registration required at librarian@cityofmelissa.com or 972-837-4540 and barrel price due by January 28, 3 p.m..
