Melissa Beautification Committee

Committee encourages community pride and support for beautification projects within Melissa.  Identifies and coordinates citywide beautification projects to propose to the City to enhance entry corridors or other areas of high visibility; to promote community pride by allowing those who can help their city do so through project identification and coordination and upkeep.  Sample projects include right-of-way mowing in high traffic areas, sprinkler maintenance and repairs on city property, planting of trees, shrubs, and flowers in strategic locations on city property on a to-be-determined basis, etc.

The committee meets as needed with a chairperson and 4 member oversight board responsible for planning, project maintenance, funding, and volunteer coordination.
