Budget Presentation Award

The City of Melissa has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association 3 consecutive years.

The award is given to local governments that have succeeded in preparing a high quality budget document.

The City of Melissa received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association for Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2009 and again for Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2010.

The award is given to local governments that go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles to prepare comprehensive annual financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
