20th anniversary Library Cropped
Melissa Public Library 20th Anniversary Dinner and Program
Join us on Saturday, November 29 for an evening to recognize the efforts of our community in starting and maintaining the Melissa Public Library with special recognition and dinner for $19.94.  The doors open at 5:30 p.m. Enjoy a chuckwagon bar-b-que with a special program focusing on our library and its supporters. City Offices CLOSED for Thanksgiving Holiday
The City of Melissa offices will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 in honor of Thanksgiving.  The Melissa Public Library will also be CLOSED on Thursday, November 27 but open for its regular hours on Friday, November 28.  We wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!

US 75 Main Lane Traffic Shift This Weekend
U.S. Highway 75 northbound and southbound lanes will be closed between Bloomdale Road and Telephone Road in McKinney and Melissa from Friday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 23, according to Texas Department of Transportation officials.  Weather permitting, TxDOT is performing two traffic switches and converting the U.S. 75 southbound frontage road to one-way operation over the weekend.  Click here for more details from the McKinney Courier-GazettePlease be reminded of alternate routes in and out of Melissa that may be available to you during this and future construction and as always exercise caution.
