Monthly Bulk Pickup - July 11th
The City of Melissa and our Solid Waste Provider Progressive Waste Solutions offer a monthly bulk pickup each month on the SECOND SATURDAY.  If you have any questions or are interested in scheduling a bulk pickup, please contact Progressive by 4:00 p.m. on the Friday prior at (469) 452-8000 or email iesimelissa@iesi.com.

City of Melissa Administrative Offices CLOSED Friday; Library Open Regular Hours
Reminder that City of Melissa Administrative offices will be CLOSED Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day. The Melissa Public Library will be open it's standard hours, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday and will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 4.  As always public safety personnel will still be available and if you have an emergency please call 9-1-1 otherwise you can call Collin County Dispatch at (972) 547-5350.  Have a safe and happy fourth of July!
 
No fireworks in City
Fireworks Not Permitted in City of Melissa
As we get ready to celebrate the 4th of July holiday, please remember that private displays or individual use of fireworks are not permitted anywhere in the City of Melissa City Limits or within 5,000 feel of the City limits.  Melissa Police Officers will handle fireworks calls as any other misdemeanor call, and the responding Officer will have the discretion to respond with a ticket, confiscation, or both.  An individual could face a fine of up to $2,000 for every violation so we ask for you complete cooperation so all can have safe 4th of July!
